David's musical studies have allowed him the pleasure of working  with Dr. Ray Smith, Brian Booth, and Greg Floor, and is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance and Composition at the University of Utah under the direction of Russell Schmidt.

David's career encompasses more than just playing.  He is also a master repair technician, working on woodwind and brass instruments for musicians across the region.  He is Straubinger and Valentino certified and has trained with Daivd Straubinger in Indianapolis and Morrie Bacun in Vancouver, Canada.

Jazz musician, David Hall, is a local Utah musician who performs regularly with The Ambassadors, The Salt Lake City Jazz Orchestra, Salsa Brava, and other bands and combos in the region.  He has performed with internationally-recognized musicians such as Ellis Hall, Pete Christlieb, Don Menza, Eddie Daniels, Vinnie Falcone, Chuck Findley, Ira Nepus, and others.  In addition to saxophone, David also plays clarinet and flute in jazz and classical genres.
